Game version checked: 1.0.10 (19 August 2026 patch). DragonSword patches frequently — if a newer version is live, cross-check tuning-sensitive numbers in-game.
DragonSword: Awakening currently runs two Raids, each with three difficulties (easy, hard, very hard), plus six rotating field bosses — and Raid rewards share one weekly claim limit across both Raids, not a separate pool per Raid. That shared limit is the detail most new players miss, and it is the reason "just farm everything" is the wrong approach to this content. This page covers Raid structure, World Boss farming, and where both fit into a daily routine, cross-checked against our own Bosses guide and Co-op guide.
Raids: pick the fight before you build the team
A community wiki source (dsawakening.wiki) frames Raid prep as a sequence of specific choices rather than general readiness: which Raid, which difficulty, and which boss, in that order. "Building a team for 'Raid' in general is guesswork; building for a specific Raid on a specific difficulty is a plan," as that guide puts it. Each difficulty lists its own recommended power, party size range, unlock quest and phase sequence — and a difficulty still locked behind a story quest isn't a real option that week no matter how strong your roster is.
The recommended power number is described as a tuning signal rather than a hard wall: showing up well below it turns the fight into a survival check before it's a damage check. The phase list matters for the same reason our own Status Ailments and Signals guide stresses team composition — a Stun-focused team, an Air team and a Bleed team each answer a different fight profile, and which one you need depends on what a specific Raid's phases actually demand, not on which heroes hit hardest in a vacuum.
The weekly claim limit is the real bottleneck
The same source describes the Raid reward system as a shared weekly pool: a limited number of eligible claims per week, split across both Raids and every difficulty. That turns your weekly choice into what the guide calls "a portfolio decision" — which Raid and which difficulty earn this week's claims, and which reward pool actually feeds your current goal. When two difficulties offer overlapping rewards, the cheaper clear is the better claim to spend.
Practical advice from that source worth repeating: run a practice pass at the lowest unlocked difficulty before spending a weekly claim. It costs nothing, and it tells you whether your rotation and survival line actually hold up before you commit the scarce resource. Field bosses run on a separate weekly cadence from the two main Raids and don't draw from the same claim pool, so they're worth scheduling independently rather than treating as an extension of Raid day.
World Bosses: your best daily source of Karma duplicates
Where Raids are weekly and claim-limited, World Bosses reset daily and are the best routine source of Basic Karma duplicates and Exclusive Karma drops tied to specific reward pools, according to the dragonswordawakening.wiki daily-routine guide (last updated August 2026). Each World Boss has a reward table skewed toward weapon Karma your active roster can actually use — the guide's advice is to spend duplicates on gear equipped by your main DPS before your bench favorites, which lines up with the general build priority our Kalsion build guide and Best Team Comps guide both apply: build your active rotation first, benched heroes later.
That same source ties World Boss routes to "Field Giant mechanics" and recommends bringing Break and Stun openers — consistent with how our own Bosses guide already separates the roster's nine Subduer bosses from its eight Conqueror bosses by which verb (subdue vs. conquer) the fight actually calls for.
The daily reset and why timing matters
Both community sources place the daily reset for Regional Missions, World Boss reward eligibility and Sudden Mission windows at roughly 9:00 AM server time, aligned to Hound13's Patch 1.0.3 notes. The daily-routine guide adds a specific warning: if you farm World Bosses right before the reset boundary, don't expect those clears to refund tomorrow's cap — plan one consolidated farming session after reset instead of splitting runs across it.
That guide also recommends a bottleneck-first approach to the whole daily loop: identify whether you're short on Skill Scrolls, Forging Molds, Karma duplicates, or Sacred Light for Awakening, then run only the dailies that feed that specific shortage. For how Sacred Light and Awakening fit together specifically, see our Awakening System guide — the two pages share the same underlying fragment economy, since Sudden Missions (not World Bosses) are the fragment source, while World Bosses feed Karma instead.
Co-op availability for Raids
Our own Co-op guide already covers the party-size split Hound13 has committed to — two players for subjugation content, three for raids — and flags that lobby joining currently works without matchmaking, by invite or code only. If you're assembling a Raid group rather than farming World Bosses solo, that page's breakdown of what multiplayer patches have and haven't fixed is worth reading before you plan a group session around a specific Raid difficulty.
Two guides for hands-on reference
For a menu-by-menu walkthrough of where Raid and Hunt unlock requirements actually live in the UI, GAMES.GG's how-to-upgrade-your-heroes guide covers the same Karma and Record of Battle systems that feed into Raid readiness, with screenshots our text-only sources don't include. For live discussion of current Raid and World Boss difficulty — useful since balance patches can shift a fight's real-world difficulty faster than any guide gets updated — the DragonSword: Awakening Steam Community discussions hub is the most current source of player-reported strategy.
What we could not confirm
Neither community wiki source we drew from names the exact number of eligible weekly claims, the specific recommended power thresholds per difficulty, or the six field bosses by name — those numbers are described as available inside each source's own linked boss database rather than published as static text we could quote directly. We also could not independently verify whether the two Raids or six field bosses changed between patch 1.0.10 and any later update, since neither source carries a version-stamped changelog for Raid content specifically. Our own Patch Notes and Roadmap page is the more reliable record for anything patch-specific — cross-check there before assuming a Raid detail on this page is still current.
