Phasmophobia Guide: Updates, Events and Achievements

The game changed a lot in 2026. Two houses were reworked, characters became customisable, the developer apologised for one update and spent the summer on fixes, and the 1.0 release slipped a year. What changed in Phasmophobia in 2026?

Sixteen numbered versions were posted between March and October. These are the five that changed the most, taken from the patch notes timeline.

What is coming next?

In the short term, the Crimson Eye event is announced for October 8 to November 1, with a Double XP week from October 15 to 22. After that the developer's notes point to November for the move to Unity 6.

Further out, the June 2026 roadmap lists a second Player Character update, a 42 Edgefield Road rework, Winter's Jest and one more content update before the year ends. Version 1.0 and the Nintendo Switch 2 release are planned for the second half of 2027.
