Valheim Boss Guides: All Eight Fights
Language: English中文
Key points
- valheim.wiki calls Kall Fimbulbringer the eighth and final boss, which makes eight in biome order, from Eikthyr in the Meadows to Kall in the Deep North; Iron Gate's 1.0 notes name him as a boss without giving a count.
- Per the community wiki, a Vegvisir reveals each boss's location, though the Vegvisir for Yagluth has a very small chance of spawning and the one for Kall is listed on valheim.wiki alone; offerings run from 2 Deer trophy to 3 Malicious Blood, and The Queen needs a Sealbreaker for entry.
- The wiki lists Pierce as resisted by five of the eight, and only Bonemass as weak to Blunt.
- Forsaken Power numbers quote Iron Gate's Patch 0.221.4 notes; no power is listed for Kall.
Boss quick table
Summon items, health and damage profiles in one sortable table. These are community figures from valheim.wiki and the Valheim Fandom wiki (Kall's row from valheim.wiki alone), not official numbers: the Iron Gate patch notes we read give no boss health or resistances. Click a column heading to sort.

Per the community-run valheim.wiki, Valheim has eight bosses, and this page lists them in biome order: Eikthyr, The Elder, Bonemass, Moder, Yagluth, The Queen, Fader and Kall Fimbulbringer. Confirm the summon or entry condition first, then sort out gear, food and an exit. The tables below cover altars, damage types and rewards.
The count of eight rests on valheim.wiki, which calls Kall "the eighth and final boss". Iron Gate's 1.0 notes list him only as "Boss: Kall Fimbulbringer" and give no count or order.
How do you find and summon each boss?
Per the community-run Valheim Wiki, a Vegvisir runestone adds a boss's nearest location to your map. The table below repeats the offering counts from the Boss quick table and adds where the wiki puts each runestone; both columns are community wiki data, not official figures.
| Boss | Where the Vegvisir is (per the wiki) | Offering and notes (per the wiki) |
|---|---|---|
| Eikthyr | Beside the Sacrificial Stones | 2 Deer trophy |
| The Elder | Burial Chambers | 3 Ancient seed |
| Bonemass | Sunken Crypts | 10 Withered bone |
| Moder | Ruined structures in the Mountain, typically at the top | 3 Dragon egg; each egg weighs 200 |
| Yagluth | Stonehenge structures; very small chance of spawning | 5 Fuling totem |
| The Queen | Infested Mines, pointing to the Infested Citadel | No offering for the first fight; entry needs a Sealbreaker made from 9 Sealbreaker fragments; 3 Seeker soldier trophy summon her again after her first defeat |
| Fader | Central tower of Charred Fortresses | 3 Bell, each made from 3 Bell fragments |
| Kall Fimbulbringer | Memorial Sites and Mörkhalla, per valheim.wiki alone; he is in The Prison, reached through the Aesir Passage | 3 Malicious Blood |
Kall's row rests on a single source: Fandom has no page for him or The Prison, and valheim.wiki's page on The Prison says "Its location can be revealed using a Vegvisir found at Memorial Sites and in Mörkhalla." At the wiki's 200 weight each, Moder's eggs are heavy, which is why the Moder guide splits hauling and fighting into separate trips. The Mistlands route covers the Sealbreaker search, and the Deep North route explains how Malicious Blood is collected.
Which damage types should you bring or avoid?
This table repeats the weak, resistant and immune entries of the Boss quick table, which come from the two community wikis and not from Iron Gate, and adds the protection each of our guides calls for. Kall's row comes from valheim.wiki alone.
| Boss | Resisted or immune (per the wiki) | Listed weakness (per the wiki) | Protection our guide calls for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eikthyr | Stagger (immune) | None listed | — |
| The Elder | Poison, Spirit, Stagger (immune) | Fire (very weak) | — |
| Bonemass | Slash; Fire, Pierce (very resistant); Poison, Stagger (immune) | Blunt, Frost | Poison resistance |
| Moder | Frost, Spirit, Stagger (immune) | Fire | Frost resistance |
| Yagluth | Fire; Pierce (very resistant); Poison, Stagger (immune) | None listed | Fire resistance |
| The Queen | Pierce; Spirit (immune) | None listed | — |
| Fader | Pierce; Fire, Spirit (immune) | None listed | Fire protection |
| Kall Fimbulbringer | Pierce, Fire, Frost, Lightning; Spirit, Stagger (immune) | None listed | Fire and frost protection |
Going by the wiki's resistance lists, Pierce is resisted by five of the eight, so a pierce-only loadout loses value from the Swamp onward. The same lists make Bonemass the only boss weak to Blunt, which is why the Bonemass guide is built around a blunt weapon. They also put Fire down as a weakness for The Elder and Moder, and the Elder guide covers the fire-arrow route. valheim.wiki, the only one of the two with a Kall page, adds that he is immune to all damage in phase 2; see the Kall guide.
The mead guide covers brewing the resistances, and the progression route covers when you are ready for the next boss.
What do you get for beating each boss?
A Forsaken Power from the trophy for the first seven, and a key drop from each. The power column quotes Iron Gate's Patch 0.221.4 notes, the last official rebalance; the drop column is community wiki data.
| Boss | Forsaken Power (official notes) | Key drop and use (per the wiki) |
|---|---|---|
| Eikthyr | 60% reduced stamina usage for running, jumping, and swimming | 3 Hard antler; one crafts the Antler pickaxe |
| The Elder | 60% Chopping and Mining damage increase, 30% health regeneration increase | Swamp key, 1 per player; opens Sunken Crypts |
| Bonemass | 25% resistance VS pierce, slash, and blunt damage, 100% reduced block stamina usage, 5 stamina on return per block | Wishbone, 1 per player online (valheim.wiki) or 1 per player (Fandom); finds buried secrets |
| Moder | Always tailwind, 300 increased carry weight, 10% increased movement speed, 50% frost resistance | 10 Dragon tear; builds the Artisan table |
| Yagluth | 50% Lightning resistance, 25+ Farm skill, 10% increased damage | 3 Torn spirit; builds the Wisp fountain |
| The Queen | 100% increased Eitr regeneration, 100% reduced sneak cost, 50% poison resistance | 5 Majestic carapace; builds the Artisan press |
| Fader | 100% Adrenaline increase, 50% reduced stagger meter modifier, 50% fire resistance | 5 Kindled Ribs (Fader Relic in the official 1.0 notes); builds the Eternal Pyre |
| Kall Fimbulbringer | Not confirmed; no power is listed | Sacrificial Blood, Crown Jewel |
Per the wiki, a power lasts 300 seconds and also reaches nearby allies. valheim.wiki lists no Forsaken Power for Kall, and the 1.0 patch notes mention none. The same wiki says Sacrificial Blood cannot be teleported through a portal. Fader's ribs are covered in the Eternal Pyre recipe.
Do you have to fight the bosses in this order?
Not by any official rule we found: the Iron Gate patch notes we read, the 1.0 notes and Patch 0.221.4, do not set a required order. The community wikis do write some steps as hard gates. valheim.wiki's Deep North page says "defeating Fader is still required to progress through the biome"; Fandom's Deep North page has no such line. Both wikis' Ashlands pages say only the Drakkar, "obtainable after defeating" The Queen, can survive the voyage there, and both Infested Citadel pages say "In order to open the vault door, a Sealbreaker is required."
For the other bosses, the wikis list what each key drop unlocks, and this page keeps the biome order for that reason. One Hard antler crafts the Antler pickaxe, which both wikis call crucial for mining Copper ore, the first ore; the Bronze Age guide covers what comes next. The Swamp key opens the Sunken Crypts in the Swamp.
Dragon tear builds the Artisan table, which both wikis say is used for building Blast furnaces, Spinning wheels, Windmills and Stone ovens; the Plains guide covers that station. The Wishbone is described more loosely: both wikis call it an accessory for finding secrets and list Silver veins in the Mountains among the things it can reveal, without saying it is required.

What do these guides assume?
These guides assume vanilla standard survival. World modifiers, mods and later patches can change how things behave. Every page keeps its source links and check date, and combat plans are first-playthrough advice, not the only solution.
