Bongo Cat Halloween: 2026 Paw Pass and Free Costumes

Bongo Cat's Halloween content for 2026 is the Paw Pass: Halloween Edition, announced on October 1, 2026. That post names no individual items. The free lane, premium lane and no-deadline rule come from the September 1, 2026 Paw Pass launch post. A free costume like the 2025 pick of Zombie, Nosfergato or Frankittystein is not confirmed for 2026.

What is Bongo Cat's Halloween content in 2026?

It is a monthly pass. The developer's October 1, 2026 post, titled UI THEMES are here!, has a section headed Paw Pass: Halloween Edition. It says "This month's theme is Halloween" and that "you will be able to get all sorts of skins, hats, emotes, as well as chest with guaranteed rarity up to legendary". It adds that "this month's pass will also include 3 UI themes".

The same post says players can choose one of three UI themes in October and that "Later this month, they will be added to drop in the emote chest". Whether those three are the same three that sit in the pass is not confirmed; the post says "The Paw Pass also includes three UI themes this month". UI themes are found in the Inventory tab under the UI Themes subtab. How the two lanes, milestones and Bongo Coins work is on the Paw Pass page, so it is not repeated here.

Which Halloween items does the announcement name?

None. The post lists reward types only, and Irox Games has not published an item-by-item list for the Halloween pass in the Steam news feed, so this page prints no skin, hat or emote names for it. On chests the post's wording is "chest with guaranteed rarity up to legendary"; it does not explain what "guaranteed" covers, so we quote it and add nothing. The drop tiers are explained on the hats and skins page.

We also read the full Steam Item Store listing on October 9, 2026. It showed 37 items, and none has Halloween in its name. One supporter item is called Spooky Skeleton, listed at US$2.50 with the description "Thank you very much for supporting Bongo Cat!". None of the 63 announcements uses the word spooky, so whether that item belongs to Halloween 2026, to the pass, or to neither is not confirmed. It is a paid store item, and no official text we read ties it to the pass.

How much does the Halloween pass cost, and when does it end?

The free lane costs nothing: the Paw Pass launch post of September 1, 2026 says the free pass ticket is claimed automatically if you open Bongo Cat at least once a month. Those lane rules are from the launch post; the October 1 post does not restate them for the Halloween pass. The premium lane needs one ticket item. On October 9, 2026 the store listed it as Paw Pass Token at US$4.99; the announcements call it a Paw Pass Ticket. Prices in other regions were not checked.

The store description reads: "Redeem in-game to unlock the premium lane of one Paw Pass. You will be able to access all items from the premium lane when completing the milestones. The redeemed pass will never expire." The listing is tagged Tradable, with a note that a purchased token "will not be tradable for one week".

No end date is given for the Halloween pass. The launch post says pass rewards "are claimable forever and do not have a deadline", and the October post explains how to pick up the September pass afterwards: select it in the "All Passes" list and click "Get Pass" or "Unlock". The launch post also says Bongo Coins "can be used later" to buy a premium lane for 500 coins; whether that is switched on is not confirmed.

What was the Free Halloween Treat in 2025?

A one-week giveaway. The Free Halloween Treat post of October 30, 2025 says: "Claim your free Halloween costume for the next 7 days (until the 5th of November)." and "You can pick one of the three items: Zombie, Nosfergato, Frankittystein". To claim it, the post says to "Update your game, follow the giftbox and claim your free costume!". It was claimed inside the game; the post mentions no code.

The post does not say whether the two costumes you did not pick could be obtained another way, or whether any of the three would return. It also added anonymised analytics through Steam Stats, "mainly used by me to see what costume you pick for example". For other giveaways, see the free items page.

Is there a free Halloween costume in 2026?

Not confirmed. On October 9, 2026 we read all 63 posts in the game's official Steam announcement feed. One post from 2026 contains the word Halloween, the October 1 post, and its Halloween section describes the pass. No post from 2026 mentions a free costume, a giftbox for Halloween, or a return of the 2025 three.

Two facts help set expectations without guessing. First, the 2025 treat was announced on October 30, one day before Halloween, so its absence on October 9 says little either way. Second, the September 2026 launch post says "Events like the summer event, lunar new year, april fools or the winter event will still happen" and that the pass "will then also drop event chests". Halloween and autumn are not in that list, which neither rules them in nor out.

What the announcements do describe as free is the pass's free lane, under the September 1 launch rules.

Which announcements mention Halloween or autumn?

We searched the title and full text of all 63 announcements for halloween, spooky, autumn, pumpkin and costume. Three posts match; spooky and pumpkin have 0 matches.

The Autumn Event post ran "for the next 3 weeks (until the 31st of October)" with "20 exclusive autumn items" and "4 for each rarity", and warned that "After October 31th the items will no longer be dropable." It does not name the 20 items. It also introduced supporter items: "3 skins and 3 hats (their wings). Calabrian Black Squirrel, Eastern Grey Squirrel and the Eurasian Red Squirrel!", with a "33% discount" for taking all of them. On October 9, 2026 the store listed each of those three squirrels at US$2.50. None of the 63 announcements announces an autumn drop event for 2026. Other events, with dates, are on the events timeline.

What should you do before October ends?

The launch post says pass rewards have no deadline, and the store listing says a redeemed pass "will never expire", so neither source gives a purchase deadline. Three small steps follow from the official posts:

1. Open the game at least once in October, which the launch post gives as the condition for the free pass ticket.
2. Make the Halloween pass the active one. The October post says: "To actively collect taps and clicks for a pass, activate it by clicking on the list entry in the "All Passes" list." A finished pass hands over to the next one automatically.
3. Keep the game updated. Both 2025 posts asked players to update the game, and the October 2026 post ends with "Don't forget to update your game, keep tapping and claim your rewards!".

If you want the UI themes outside the pass, the post says they join the emote chest later in October; how that chest works is on the emotes page. The Autumn Event post says its items would no longer be droppable after October 31, 2025, and the announcements name no other way to get them. Whether they can be traded is not stated in any announcement; the trading rules are on the exchange and trading page.
