Which ones should you go for first?

Trader is the cheapest unlock that most players still lack: at 8.0% it is rarer than Collect 20 items, yet it only needs one exchange of ten same-rarity duplicates. Do it as soon as you have ten Commons, and Vendor (10 exchanges) follows naturally.

Next, join one lobby. A lobby with just one friend unlocks Meowtiplayer Friend (9.2%), and using emojis there starts the Emoter chain (since July 12, 2026 emotes also work in single-player). Group, Pack and Party need 5, 10 and 50 players, so public lobbies are the practical route for the last two.

The tap milestones will come on their own. Your progress is not lost if you reset the visible counter: a March 2025 update added an "Option to reset your current taps (doesn't reset your achievement)" (patch notes).

How long does 25 million taps take?

Nobody official has put a time on it. The developer has said typing 1,000 letters in 30 minutes "should be possible" (reply). At exactly that rate, 2,000 taps an hour, Bongo Beat Diamond would take 12,500 hours of active typing. Only 0.4% of players have it.

In February 2026 the developer removed a 5 million tap achievement from Steam "because of too much backlash", saying it would return as an in-game achievement, "just not in Steam" (developer post). As of September 29, 2026 the Steam list includes a 5 million tier (Bongo Beat Sapphire); no announcement says whether it is the achievement that was removed in February. The one-year anniversary update then added new achievements after a community vote in which "80% voted in favor of adding more achievements", and said the new tap amount ones also give cosmetics (anniversary post). The item rewards are covered in hats and skins.

Tempted to use an auto clicker for the tap tiers? There is no official rule on them either way; the details are on is Bongo Cat safe.

Where does this data come from?

Names, requirements and percentages are read from Steam's public global achievement stats, which need no login. Hidden-achievement flags need an API key and were not checked. The table is meant to be refreshed weekly from the same page; expect the percentages to drift between checks.
