Key points

  • Jellyfi is the editorial byline responsible for researching, publishing and maintaining these Phasmophobia guides.
  • Facts come from the Steam store page and public Steam APIs, Kinetic Games' announcements and patch notes, the official roadmap graphics and Steam's achievements page.
  • Rules quoted from old patch notes carry their date, and anything the developer has not stated is marked as not stated instead of being estimated.
  • Found something that no longer matches the game? Report it through the Contact page with the link and the date you saw it.

Jellyfi is the editorial byline on LootWiki, responsible for researching, publishing and maintaining the Phasmophobia guides on this site. Every guide published under that byline is listed below.

How these guides are researched

Phasmophobia has been in Early Access since 2020 and its rules have shifted with many of its patches, so advice goes stale quickly. The most reliable record is the developer's own. Each guide starts from the Steam store page and Steam's public APIs, then the announcements and patch notes Kinetic Games posts on Steam and on kineticgames.co.uk. Steam's public achievements page supplies achievement names, requirement text and unlock rates.

Where a number comes from an older patch, the page gives the month and year next to it. A level gate stated in 2022 is reported as a 2022 statement, not as today's value. Where the Steam post and the official site version of the same announcement differ on a detail a page relies on, the page names the difference and says which one it follows.

No fact on these pages rests on a community wiki. That is why some popular topics, such as a full evidence chart for every ghost, are missing for now: the developer's posts do not give one in full, and we would rather wait for an official source.

How to read the dates on a page

Under the heading of each article, "Last reviewed" is the date the text was last compared against its sources, and "Checked on version" is the latest version number in the official patch notes on that date. In the text, "announced for" means a plan the developer has stated; it becomes "ran from" only when a later official post confirms it.

What we will not publish

No redeem codes, because we found no code system for in-game rewards in any official source. No data-mined values or leaks. No AI-generated screenshots: every image is an official screenshot from the game's Steam store page, credited to Kinetic Games. Advice, such as which achievement to chase first, is labelled as a suggestion.

Reporting an error

If a rule, a date or a name here does not match what you see in the game, email us through the Contact page and include the page link and the date you noticed it. The site-wide writing and correction rules are on the Editorial Policy page. You can also browse the two sections directly: Getting Started and Updates & Events.
