How to Play Race Horses on Roblox: Your First Hour Guide

To play Race Horses, buy an egg, hatch a horse and let it race: a new race starts every minute and pays out cash. Spend that cash on more eggs and on upgrading your stable, care for your horses for bonus XP, and keep going. The stable also earns while you are offline, so even short daily visits pay off.

What does the official How to Play list say?
The description lists seven steps. Here they are word for word, with where to read more:

Above the list, the description adds "Index OUT NOW! Collect horses for rewards!", which makes collecting a goal in its own right.
What should you do in your first hour?
Our suggested plan, built around the most common badges so you can see your progress:
- Hatch your first horse. That earns Horsin' Around, the most common badge in the game.
- Let it race. Watch a few races; Winning Stride (win a race) and Super Sprinter (finish in under 35 seconds) are among the first badges most players get.
- Hatch a second horse. Final Stretch (first and last in the same race) appears to need two of your horses in one race.
- Feed your main horse. Start counting toward Apple A Day, 100 apples to one horse.
- Spend your first big sum on the stable. Upgrading makes you earn faster, and that compounds.
- Only then move up an egg tier. Uncommon and Rare horses come next; the badge numbers in all 24 badges show how far most players get.
Should you spend Robux at the start?
You do not have to: races pay out in-game cash, and the plan above needs no Robux purchase as far as we can tell. If you do want one purchase, the Starter Pack (25 Robux) is described as "Rare Egg + $10,000 + 1 Golden Apple!", which costs far less than buying a Rare Egg (79) and a Golden Apple (39) separately. Race Horses is the only public game in the Gorilla Grafters group. The group description is a single word, "grafting", and its shout was empty when we checked, so we treat the game page itself as the main official source.
Is this the Race Horses game other sites mean?
Watch out for a similarly named game. Searches for "race horses roblox" often show Horse Race, a different Roblox game with pets, rebirths and its own codes. This guide covers Race Horses by Gorilla Grafters, the one whose title starts with "[INDEX📖]".
What do you need to know before you start?
A few facts that save new players time, all from the official listing or store:
- Storage is limited. You start with 9 horse slots; the X3 STORAGE pass raises that to 27. Do not hatch eggs faster than you can house the results.
- Apples are capped. You carry 10 at a time unless you own X2 FRUIT CAPACITY.
- Eggs take time. Eggs hatch on a timer after you place them; Robux skips exist for every tier above Common.
- Servers are small. A server holds eight players at most, and private servers are not enabled.
Are there codes to redeem?
We found none from an official source: the game description, group description and group shout list no codes. Third-party sites publish code lists, but we could not trace any of them to the developer, so we do not repeat them. The hub page explains more.
