Which badges come from hatching?
One per rarity. Together they are the clearest proof that the game has seven tiers, which the eggs and rarities guide prices one by one.
| Badge | Official requirement | Times awarded | Per 100 Horsin' Around | Added |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Horsin' Around | Hatch your first common horse! | 3,139,857 | 100 | 6 Jul |
| Racing Stripes | Hatch your first uncommon horse! | 1,692,241 | 53.9 | 6 Jul |
| Flying Colors | Hatch your first rare horse! | 1,017,078 | 32.4 | 6 Jul |
| Runaway Fashion | Hatch your first epic horse! | 450,595 | 14.4 | 6 Jul |
| Stallion Supreme | Hatch your first legendary horse! | 158,043 | 5.0 | 6 Jul |
| Mythical Beast | Hatch your first mythic horse! | 38,321 | 1.22 | 22 Aug |
| Fruity Foal | Hatch your first Exotic Horse! | 6,102 | 0.19 | 23 Sep |
The last column is our calculation: each total divided by the Horsin' Around total. It compares badge holders, not one tracked group of players. Mythical Beast and Fruity Foal are also much younger, so they have had less time to build up.
Which badges come from racing?
Eleven, and they reveal a lot about how races work: finishing times, margins, hurdles and payouts. The racing guide reads them in detail.

| Super Sprinter | Finish a race in less than 35 seconds! | 1,748,435 | 55.7 |

| Final Stretch | Be both first and last place in the same race! | 1,479,896 | 47.1 |
| Ooh! Aah! | Win a race with hurdles! | 1,396,059 | 44.5 |
| To Race Another Day | Trip up on a hurdle! | 1,277,129 | 40.7 |
| Shooting Star! | Win on your horse's first ever race! | 999,482 | 31.8 |
| Photo Finish | Win a race by just 0.2 seconds or less | 748,908 | 23.9 |
| Racer's Riches | Win $100k+ in one race! | 217,029 | 6.9 |
| Casual Stroll | Finish a race in last place by 0.8 seconds or more. | 101,137 | 3.2 |
| Secret Victory | Win more cash in last place than the 1st place racer. | 76,676 | 2.4 |
| Horsepower | Win 10 races with the same horse! | 7,458 | 0.24 |

What are the five hardest badges?
By award totals, these five are the rarest badges in Race Horses. Our reading of each is below; none of it is an official tip.
- So Long, Partner (2,168). You need one horse with at least 10 wins, and then you have to retire it. The badge implies a retired horse leaves your racing stable; we have not confirmed whether that can be undone, so many players may simply keep their winners.
- Not Just Horsing Around (3,822). Fifty wins across your stable. With one race a minute and random winners, this is a long grind.
- Fruity Foal (6,102). Only eight days old when we checked, and it needs an Exotic horse, the top tier. The Exotic Egg costs 2,799 Robux in the store.
- Horsepower (7,458). Ten wins with the same horse. It pairs naturally with So Long, Partner: earn this first, then decide whether to retire.
- Hatcher (7,784). Fifty eggs. Surprisingly rare given how many players hatch a first horse; it was added on 22 August, so early players who left never had the chance.
Why is Super Sprinter more common than Winning Stride?
Super Sprinter, for finishing in under 35 seconds, had been awarded 1,748,435 times, about 124,000 more than Winning Stride. Both arrived on 12 August, so time is not the reason. The likely explanation is that a fast finish does not need first place, while only one horse wins each race. This is our inference from the numbers, not something the developer has said.
What should you aim for after your first hatch?
Our suggestion for a sensible Race Horses badge order, based on how common each badge is:
- Day one: Horsin' Around, Winning Stride, Super Sprinter and Final Stretch, four of the five most-awarded badges.
- First week: Apple A Day (100 apples to one horse) and Racer's Riches ($100k in one race).
- Long term: Man's Best Friend (level 30), then Horsepower and Full House.
Which rarity to chase is a separate question. The horses and Index guide explains what makes one horse different from another.
