Race Horses Care Guide: Apples, Levels and Stable Upgrades

Scope: Care, apples, storage and stable details from the game description, badges, game passes and developer products on 2026-10-01; stable levels, costs and cooldown lengths do not appear in Roblox's public data for the game

Key points

  • Caring for horses gives an extra XP bonus; the promotional art shows feeding apples and cleaning with a sponge.
  • You carry 10 apples at a time, or 20 with the X2 FRUIT CAPACITY pass; apples grow on trees that can be restocked.
  • Horse storage holds 9 horses, or 27 with X3 STORAGE.
  • Upgrading the stable makes you earn faster, and the stable keeps earning offline.

Caring for your horses in Race Horses gives them an extra XP bonus, says the game description. Apples are the main food: you carry 10 at a time, they grow on trees, and feeding one horse 100 earns a badge. Your stable can be upgraded to earn faster, and it keeps earning while you are offline.

The Race Horses details below come from four official sources: the description, the badges, the game passes and the developer products. Where a number is missing, the developer has not published it.

What does caring for a horse do?

The description's line is short: "🥰 Care for your horses for extra XP bonus". XP leads to levels, and levels matter for at least one badge, Man's Best Friend (level 30).

Two of the three official promotional images show care in action. One shows a hand holding out a red apple with an on-screen prompt reading "E FEED"; the other shows a sponge, a bucket of water and the prompt "E CLEAN". These are marketing images, so treat them as a guide to what care looks like rather than a full list of actions.

How do apples and trees work?

ItemSourceOfficial wording
Apple carrying limitX2 FRUIT CAPACITY pass (199 Robux)"Allows you to carry 20 apples instead of 10!"
Fruit treesRestock Trees product (49 Robux)"Make all the trees grow back to max fruit!"
Golden Apple+ 1 Golden Apple product (39 Robux)"Skips full cooldown + 1 Level Up!"
Feeding goalApple A Day badge"Feed 100 apples to one horse."

Read together, apples appear to come from trees that can run low on fruit, you carry up to 10, and you feed them to a horse. Restock Trees refills every tree at once. The Golden Apple's "skips full cooldown" wording points to a cooldown of some kind, but the developer does not say what it applies to or how long it lasts, and we could not confirm whether trees regrow on their own. The Starter Pack also includes one Golden Apple, as covered in eggs and rarities.

Apple A Day had been awarded 903,613 times by 1 October 2026, which makes it one of the more common long-term badges. Pick one favourite horse and feed it every time you can.

How many horses can you keep?

In Race Horses, storage holds 9 horses by default. The X3 STORAGE pass (249 Robux) says "Go from 9 to 27 slots of storage for horses!". Storage appears to be separate from the stable itself: Full House asks you to "Get the highest level stable and fill it to max horses!", which suggests the stable has its own horse limit tied to its level. The number of stable levels and their costs are not published.

If storage is full, retiring a horse is one way to clear space; the horses and Index guide explains what we know about retiring.

Is upgrading the stable worth it?

The description says "Upgrade your stable to earn faster", and the stable also earns while you are offline. That makes stable upgrades the main long-term Race Horses income lever that costs no Robux. Our advice: whenever an upgrade and a new egg compete for the same cash, take the upgrade first, because faster earnings speed up every later purchase. This is our view, not an official rule.

Full House, for maxing the stable and filling it, had been awarded only 14,160 times, so the top level is a real long-term goal.

How do offline earnings work?

The description says twice that your horses keep earning while you are offline. A Double Offline Earnings product costs 39 Robux; it has no description, so we do not know how long the doubling lasts. The rate itself is not published. The racing guide covers what you earn while online.

What should you do every session?

A routine we suggest:

  1. Pick apples and feed your main racer.
  2. Check whether a stable upgrade is affordable before buying eggs.
  3. Keep storage below full so new hatches have room.
  4. Before logging off, spend spare cash on a stable upgrade, since the stable keeps earning offline.

Which care purchases make sense?

PurchaseRobuxWho it suits
X2 FRUIT CAPACITY199Players who feed several horses per session
X3 STORAGE249Collectors filling the Index
+ 1 Golden Apple39One-off level push, for example near level 30
Restock Trees49Only when you are out of apples and want to feed right now

The "who it suits" column is our opinion. Full pass details are in the game pass guide.
