Southern Mudding Updates: Friday Schedule and Full History

Southern Mudding updates on Fridays. The game description ends with "Updates every Friday!", and the developer's Roblox event listings name each weekly update: 43 listings, from "Towing Update" on 12 December 2025 to "Next Week's Update!" on 9 October 2026. Recent listings usually start at 17:00 UTC.

We read the description and store data at 11:19 UTC and the event history at 12:13 UTC on Friday 2 October 2026, before that day's update was due. At that point the newest notes were dated 25 September. Anything released later that day is not covered here.

What time does the Southern Mudding update drop?

Usually 17:00 UTC on a Friday, going by the event listings. Recent Friday listings mostly start at 17:00 UTC, though some weeks start at 17:30 or 18:00. Of the ten most recent listings, counting the two that had not started when we checked, nine start between 17:00 and 17:15 UTC; the exception is 4 September, at 18:00.

Across all 41 listings that start on a Friday, the spread is wider:

An event's start time is the developer's schedule, not a record of when the game changed. The one release we could time from the game listing, 25 September, landed at 17:20 UTC: that is the listing's last-updated stamp, about four minutes after that week's event started at 17:15. Treat 17:00 UTC as the usual target, not a guarantee.

The three listings that were open when we checked:

All three carry the same text: "Follow to be notified when the update drops!".

These conversions hold while daylight saving time is in force. UK clocks change on 25 October 2026 and US clocks on 1 November; if the developer keeps 17:00 UTC, local times move one hour earlier after those dates. Last winter's listings point the other way: all seven Friday listings from 9 January to 20 February 2026 started at 18:00 UTC, which is also 1 pm US Eastern on standard time. So the UTC time may shift to 18:00 in November. That is our inference from the listing times; the developer has not said so.

How can you tell a Southern Mudding update is live?

Three official signals, none of which needs a login:

• The update header in the description. It read "🚨 September 25th Update" when we checked on 2 October 2026, before that day's update. A new date there means new notes.
• The game's title prefix. It was "[🚀Nitrous!🚀]" at the same check, matching the headline feature.
• The event listings. The 25 September update had its own named event. The two upcoming ones were still titled "This Week's Update!" and "Next Week's Update!" when we checked, while none of the 41 earlier listings carries a placeholder title, so watch for a new title there.

Roblox's own documentation says that when a developer publishes an update, "players aren't immediately removed from old versions", and that without a server restart players move over "as the servers running old versions eventually empty and shut down". If the notes have changed but your game has not, join a fresh server.

What did the 25 September update add?

As of 2 October 2026, before that day's update, these were the newest notes in the description:

• "New Nitrous Customization for Pickup Trucks! Add it in the customization garage."
• "New Pickup Truck!"
• "New UTV!"
• "New LED Whip Lights!"

The nitrous guide goes through what those lines confirm. One store item is newer than the notes: the developer product [Limited] Off-Road 6x6 Pickup Truck was created on 30 September. It may belong to the 2 October update, but nothing official said so when we checked.

What has Southern Mudding added since launch?

We found no archive of old descriptions in Roblox's public data, so earlier weekly notes could not be read there, though the event titles survive. The store data covers the launch period, before the first event listing:

From December 2025 the Southern Mudding event listings give one title per update. All 43 are below, with titles exactly as listed and start times in UTC:

A title is all most listings give. Thirty-four of the 43 carry only the standard line "Follow to be notified when the update drops!", and three more are slight variants of it. The six listings that say more:

The Trucking Event! and ATVs Update! descriptions also include the standard "Follow to be notified" line. Store items created around each date, with prices, are in the Robux vehicle list and the game pass guide.

Do the dates support Southern Mudding's Friday claim?

Yes, with two early exceptions. Of the 43 event listings, 41 start on a Friday. The other two are "Winter Update Pt. 2" (Tuesday 23 December 2025) and "🎆 New Years Update" (Wednesday 31 December 2025). From 9 January 2026 to 9 October 2026 there is one listing for every Friday, 40 in a row.

The store dates agree less neatly. Of the 22 vehicle products, 12 were created on a Friday, six on a Thursday, three on a Wednesday and one on a Tuesday. A product has to exist before an update can sell it, so creation a day or two early is consistent with a Friday release. All 12 Friday creations date from April 2026 onward; the six vehicle products before that were created midweek.

Where are the older Southern Mudding patch notes?

The description holds only the current week's notes. The developer's event listings keep a title for each weekly update back to 12 December 2025 (for example "🗺️ Map Expansion!" on 15 May 2026 and "Engine Swaps!🛠️" on 26 June 2026), but not the full notes. The developer may post fuller notes in its own community channels; Roblox shows a game's social links only to signed-in users who have verified their age as 16 or older, so we could not read them. The community page sets out what we could and could not reach.
