Southern Mudding Badges: All 4 with Official Award Counts

Scope: Badge names, requirements, award totals, win-rate figures and creation dates from the Roblox badges API on 2026-10-02, re-read once to confirm; totals grow daily; ratios are our calculation. House locations and rules were not checked in game.

Key points

Southern Mudding has four badges: Welcome to the game!, Spawned a Vehicle, Spawned a Trailer and Claimed a House. You earn them by joining, spawning a vehicle, spawning a trailer and claiming a house. Claimed a House is the rarest: at 11:19 UTC on 2 October 2026 it had been awarded 7,164,284 times, against 76,022,926 for Welcome to the game!.

Names and requirements below are copied from the Roblox badges API, punctuation included. Totals are a snapshot from 11:19 UTC on 2 October 2026 and rise every day.

What are the four Southern Mudding badges?

BadgeOfficial requirementTimes awardedPer 100 WelcomeRoblox win rate
Welcome to the game! You played the game!76,022,92610056.1%
Spawned a VehicleSpawn a vehicle to obtain this badge.62,448,16382.145.3%
Spawned a TrailerSpawn a trailer to obtain this badge.37,089,92048.823.4%
Claimed a HouseClaim a house to obtain this badge.7,164,2849.46.5%

"Per 100 Welcome" is our calculation: each total divided by the Welcome to the game! total. It compares badge counts, not one tracked group of players. The win rate is the winRatePercentage field Roblox returns with each badge; we read it as a fraction, so 0.561 becomes 56.1%. We found no definition of how it is calculated in Roblox's badge documentation, so we quote it as given.

All four badges were created within two minutes of each other on 22 September 2025, a week after the experience itself. No badge has been added since, and all four were enabled when we checked.

How do you earn each one?

  • Welcome to the game! Join a server. The requirement is simply "You played the game!".
  • Spawned a Vehicle. Spawn any vehicle. The requirement does not name a type, so a free one should count.
  • Spawned a Trailer. Spawn a trailer. You do not need a trailer pass for the badge as far as the wording goes; the spawning guide explains the default limit of two that the pass descriptions imply.
  • Claimed a House. Claim a house on the map. The steps are not described anywhere in public data, so this one needs exploring.

A new player can reasonably aim for the first three in one session. The how-to-play guide puts them in order.

Why is Claimed a House so much rarer?

The numbers show the gap without explaining it. For every 100 Welcome badges there are 82 for spawning a vehicle, 49 for a trailer and 9 for a house. Three explanations are plausible, and they are ours:

  • Claiming a house is not something the game forces on you, while spawning a vehicle is the obvious first step.
  • A server holds ten players. If houses are limited per server, late arrivals may find them taken. We have not confirmed how many houses a server has.
  • Many visits are short. Someone who drives for ten minutes may never look for a house.

None of these is an official statement. What is certain is that the badge needs a deliberate step most players skip.

What do houses involve, and what does Luxury Houses add?

Official Southern Mudding data mentions houses in four places:

SourceNameWhat it saysRobux
BadgeClaimed a HouseClaim a house to obtain this badge.—
Game passLuxury HousesGrants the ability to claim luxury houses!290
Developer productLuxury House Gift(no description)250
Event listingBed Cargo + Houses!Title only; the listing started on 29 May 2026—

The pass wording suggests two tiers: ordinary houses anyone can claim, and luxury houses reserved for pass owners. That reading fits the badge, which asks only for "a house". It is still an inference. The event title shows that the update of 29 May 2026 touched houses, but the listing does not say what changed. The data does not say where houses are, how many exist, what you can do inside one, or whether a claim lasts beyond the session.

The gift product is listed 40 Robux below the pass. The game pass guide covers that difference and the other gift prices.

How does yesterday compare with the all-time totals?

Roblox also reports how many times each badge was awarded in the past day, read at the same time as the totals:

BadgeAwarded in the past dayPer 100 Welcome, past dayPer 100 Welcome, all time
Welcome to the game!193,843100100
Spawned a Vehicle156,59980.882.1
Spawned a Trailer80,84041.748.8
Claimed a House22,45811.69.4

The past-day ratios are close to the long-run ones. Trailers were a little less common among yesterday's new badge earners, and house claims a little more common. One day is a small sample, so we would not read a trend into it.

How do the badges compare with the visit count?

The Southern Mudding listing showed 428,075,692 visits at 11:19 UTC on 2 October 2026. Welcome to the game! had been awarded 76,022,926 times at the same moment. A badge is normally awarded to an account once (Roblox's documentation says a player who already has it cannot be awarded it again), so Welcome to the game! counts roughly one award per account, while the visit count is a different measure. The gap of about 5.6 visits per Welcome badge is consistent with players coming back, but the visit definition is not published in the sources we read. The comparison is rough in another way: the badge was created a week after launch, so visits from that first week were counted before the badge existed.
