- Global Competition: a theme, a timed submission, then player voting.
- The 20 October post announces Custom Competitions: player-hosted rooms that players can join from any server.
On this page
Make Dresses Co-Play lets you invite anyone in your server, or friends outside it, to your atelier to make one dress together; the developer says the team shares the coins and XP. The posts describe competitions as a separate feature: a theme is set, you submit a design before time runs out, and other players vote on the entries.
How do I invite a friend to design with me?
The 4 October 2026 update post says you can invite anyone in your server, or friends who are outside it, to your atelier. Together you pick necklines, measure, cut, pin and style the dress as a team.
| Co-Play detail | What the official post or record says |
|---|---|
| Who can be invited | Anyone in your server, or friends outside it |
| Where you work | Your atelier |
| Shared steps | Pick necklines, measure, cut, pin and style |
| Shared rewards | Coins and XP |
| Server size | Up to 4 players per server, per the Roblox games API |
The post does not list the button or menu used to send an invitation, or how coins and XP are divided. The full set of dressmaking steps is explained on the dressmaking page.
Can Make Dresses console players join?
The same post says every feature of the game can now be played on console. It does not separately mention cross-play between console and other devices.
How does the Make Dresses Global Competition work?
According to the 10 October 2026 post, the game gives a theme, you design an outfit and submit it before the timer ends, then you browse other players' designs and vote for your favourites. The 17 October Halloween post says Halloween-themed challenges are coming to the same competition.
None of the posts names a prize, an entry fee or how votes decide a winner.
What changes with Custom Competitions?
A post created on 20 October 2026 announces Custom Competitions and lists an event starting 24 October 2026 at 20:00 UTC. Here is how they compare with the original mode, based only on the two posts:
| Feature | Global Competition (10 October) | Custom Competitions (scheduled 24 October) |
|---|---|---|
| Who sets the theme | A theme is given | You pick the theme for your room |
| Hosting | Not described | You create and host your own room |
| Who can join | Not described | Players can join rooms from any server |
| Steps | Design, submit, vote | Design, submit, vote |
Until the event starts, this is the developer's announcement rather than a description of a live feature. The update log will carry any later post.
Do competitions need a gamepass?
No official Make Dresses post links competitions or Co-Play to a purchase, and every gamepass description is empty. The passes and their prices are listed on the shop page, and the Make Dresses hub confirms you are in the right game before you invite anyone.
