All Deep Fishing Rods in Order: Iron to Galaxy Rod

Deep Fishing has 21 rods on its regular ladder, running from the Iron Rod to the Galaxy Rod, and the developer sells a Robux unlock for every one of them. The Galaxy Rod is the most expensive at 6,499 Robux. Two Exclusive rods and two rod skins are sold separately and are not part of that ladder.

This list comes from the developer's own store products on Roblox, each named "Unlock [Rod]". That makes it the only complete, official rod roster we know of — the two fan wikis we compared cover only a handful of rods.

What is the full rod order?

We order the rods by their official Robux unlock price, lowest first. Price is not the same as a published progression order, but the ladder reads naturally — iron, bronze, steel, gold, gems, then themed rods — and agrees with the partial order fan guides describe.

Spellings are the developer's own, including "Ufo Rod" and "Gold Rod" (not "Golden Rod", as one fan wiki has it). The Steel Rope Rod unlock was created a day after the others, on 19 July 2026; its price places it between the Steel Rod and the Full Steel Rod.

Which rod do you start with?

The starter rod is not one of the Robux unlocks, and we have not found an official name for it. The first rod you can unlock is the Iron Rod. If you know the starter rod's in-game name, the author page explains how to send a correction with a screenshot.

What is the best rod in Deep Fishing?

On the regular ladder, the Galaxy Rod: it is the last and most expensive unlock. One fan wiki quotes a video that put it at 5,000 Robux, but the developer's product listed 6,499 Robux on 29 September 2026. Prices can change, so check the in-game price before buying.

For most players the honest answer is "the next one". The developer's description says farther casts reach new waters with rarer fish, so every rung that throws farther opens up better catches. Exact distance and luck stats per rod are not published, and third-party numbers come from single videos, so we do not print them.

Are the Exclusive rods and skins worth it?

They sit outside the numbered ladder, so compare them with care.

"Skin" is the developer's own label, so the Divine rods are a look rather than a new rod tier. The two Exclusive rods are newer and their stats are not published; we cannot say how they compare with, say, the Crystal Rod, and we will not guess.

Should you buy rods or upgrades first?

The official description names Strength as the stat for throwing farther, and a new rod is the other obvious lever. Our suggestion: keep Strength moving early, then save for the next rod whenever upgrades feel slow — a rod is the bigger single step. Paid luck and one-throw boosts come after both. Can you earn rods without Robux?

The Robux products are named "Unlock", which suggests a paid shortcut rather than the only route. Fan guides report that rods are also bought with coins in a Rod Shop, and quote prices such as 12,000 coins for the Bronze Rod. We have not been able to confirm those prices, so this page does not list coin costs. New players should read the how-to-play guide for how coins are earned.
