Mitosis Mutations (Roblox): All 28 Names and Known Mixes
Scope: The count of 28 and fusion into mixes come from the official Mitosis description; names, groups, mixes and effects come from two fan wikis, each row tagged with its source, all checked on 23 October 2026.
Key points
- Fauna Studio confirms 28 mutations and fusion into mixes, but publishes no names, effects or odds.
- 17 of the 28 names appear on both fan wikis checked; the other 11 come from mitosiswiki.wiki alone.
- Vampire Toxic (Toxic plus Vampire) is the one two-part mix both wikis describe; the other recipes, including Penta-Mutant Vampire's traits, are single-source.
- Rotten pays nothing until cured; White Cell, Vampire and the Antibody card are reported counters.

Mitosis on Roblox has 28 mutations, and Fauna Studio says they can be fused into mixes. The developer has not published the names, so the list below comes from fan wikis: 17 names appear on both wikis checked, and 11 more come from one wiki only. Each row shows its source, and nothing official gives odds or rarity.
What does Fauna Studio officially say about mutations?
The official record is short. Everything else on this page is community reporting, labelled per row.
| Official statement (checked 23 October 2026) | Where it appears |
|---|---|
| "Discover 28 Mutations & Fuse Them Into Mixes!" | Roblox game description |
| "Flex Your Rarest Mutation!" next to the leaderboards | Roblox game description |
| 2X Mutation Luck: "Mutations happen 2x as often." (249 Robux) | Game-pass listing, see game passes |
| "Mutation Upgrades in the skill tree" (Update 1, 11 October 2026) | Official update event, see updates |
| Badges named Mutant, Fusion, Mutation Dex and Omni-Tosis | Badge listing; every description is blank, see badges |
On 23 October 2026 those four badges had 534,314, 447,582, 12,439 and 407 owners. The names hint at collection goals, but with blank descriptions they do not say what each one requires. Two YouTube video descriptions (Roblox Radar and POCKET-CODES) and Destructoid's codes page repeat the count of 28 without naming any mutation. An early gameplay video by Captar describes balls that "evolve", which fits W1's evolution group but names nothing.
Which sources are used for the name list?
| Key | Source | What it covers | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| W1 | mitosiswiki.wiki (list, hub, combinations and fusion pages; the site dates them 20 October 2026) | All 28 names, sorted into value, trait and special groups; named mixes; Rotten counters | 23 Oct 2026 |
| W2 | mitosis.wiki (named-mutation, mixes, how-to-get and events pages) | 17 names with looks and labels; one mix; event boosts | 23 Oct 2026 |
Both are fan sites that build their pages from screenshots of the in-game MUTATIONS menu and ball tooltips. They are separate sites, but they may draw on similar screenshots, so agreement between them is useful rather than conclusive.
What are all 28 Mitosis mutations?
Grouping follows W1, the only source that sorts all 28. "Both" means W1 and W2 name the mutation and describe it compatibly; "W1 only" means the name and details are per mitosiswiki.wiki (23 Oct 2026).
Value mutations
| # | Mutation | What the sources describe | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Yin-Yang | Black-and-white ball; showed ×16 in one recorded best ball (W2) | Both |
| 2 | Galaxy | Purple galaxy pattern with a GALAXY! label; ×12 in the same ball (W2) | Both |
| 3 | Frozen | Pale, icy blue; ×3 in the same ball (W2). Separate from the Frozen Moon mix (W1) | Both |
| 4 | Toxic | Bright green; part of the Vampire Toxic mix | Both |
| 5 | Gold | Value mutation; not the same thing as a Gold Rush (W1). Look not described | Both |
| 6 | Stone | Value mutation; a component of Stony Slime (W1). Look not described | Both |
| 7 | Celestial | Component of the Toxic Star mix | W1 only |
| 8 | Heavenly | Light, golden look | W1 only |
| 9 | Inferno | Orange, molten look; distinct from Molten | W1 only |
| 10 | Candy | Candy Rain is said to favour it; see the conflict note below | W1 only |
| 11 | Blood Moon | A ball property, separate from the Blood Moon event named in the official description | W1 only |
Traits
| # | Mutation | What the sources describe | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12 | Jackpot | JACKPOT! label with a green seven icon (W2); a sale effect that only sometimes triggers (W1) | Both |
| 13 | Vampire | Purple-red V marker (W2); reported to remove Rotten balls (W1) | Both |
| 14 | Echo | Red ball with blue swirling trails and a blue marker (W2) | Both |
| 15 | White Cell | White cross icon (W2); reported to cure one neighbouring Rotten ball when it splits (W1) | Both |
| 16 | Coin Ball | Yellow coin marker and a golden glow | Both |
| 17 | Midas Touch | Listed with the trait group; effect not given | W1 only |
| 18 | Bomb | Name only; trigger and payout not given | W1 only |
| 19 | Twin | Name only; W1 warns against assuming every split copies it | W1 only |
| 20 | Ghost | Walkthroughs are said to show Ghost cells surviving some sales | W1 only |
Special, evolution and risk entries
| # | Mutation | What the sources describe | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 21 | Molten | Lava Rain turns most balls Molten while it lasts | Both |
| 22 | Storm | Dark blue-grey with lightning marks and a STORM! label (W2); Thunderstorm favours it (W1) | Both |
| 23 | Queen | Golden crown marker and a QUEEN! label (W2) | Both |
| 24 | Zombie | Auto-Split also splits Zombie balls; turn AUTO off to split them by hand | Both |
| 25 | Speedy Ball | Linked to the Minimum Cooldown achievement | Both |
| 26 | Glitch | A ball entry, separate from a GLITCH weather event | W1 only |
| 27 | Void | Component of the Molten Void mix | W1 only |
| 28 | Rotten | ROTTEN! label; pays $0 until cured | Both |
W2 does not assign a group to Molten, Storm, Queen, Zombie, Speedy Ball or Rotten; the "special" grouping is W1's. Wings and a halo on a ball come from an accessory (W2 names it Little Angel), not from a mutation, according to both wikis.
Where do the sources disagree?
| Topic | mitosiswiki.wiki (W1) | mitosis.wiki (W2) |
|---|---|---|
| How many names are documented | All 28 | 17 |
| Candy Rain | Can favour Candy finds | Listed as a weather event with no bonus |
| Named mixes with known parts | Vampire Toxic plus five more with listed parts (table below) | Vampire Toxic is the only one with confirmed parts |
| How to cure Rotten | White Cell, Vampire or the Antibody card | Click the ball before splitting and look for CURED! |
The Rotten answers are not exclusive; both may apply. The other three rows are open, so both versions are shown.
Which mutation mixes are known?
Fusion into mixes is official; every recipe below is community reporting. W1 describes fusion as two mutated balls merging when they end up next to each other on the board, with the result keeping the mutations of both. W2 does not describe the merge itself.
| Mix | Parts reported | Warning reported | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vampire Toxic | Toxic (value) + Vampire (trait) | None | Both |
| Penta-Mutant Vampire | Toxic, Gold, Stone (value) + Vampire, Coin Ball (traits) | None | Value parts: both; traits: W1 only |
| Frozen Moon | Frozen + Blood Moon | Unstable (chance of turning Rotten on a split) | W1 only |
| Toxic Star | Toxic + Celestial | Unstable | W1 only |
| Stony Slime | Stone + Toxic | Unstable | W1 only |
| Molten Void | Molten + Void | Unstable | W1 only |
| Toxic Magma | Green and molten look; parts not listed | Not given | W1 only |
W1 also names two goals tied to mixes: Chimera, for one value mutation and one trait on the same ball, and Holy Star, for a high-multiplier mix. Neither goal's requirement is published by Fauna Studio.
Can you add up mutation multipliers?
No. Both wikis say to read the whole-ball PAYS figure instead. W2 records one eight-mutation best ball whose value entries were Yin-Yang ×16, Galaxy ×12 and Frozen ×3, with traits including Jackpot and White Cell (W1 lists Jackpot, Vampire, Echo, White Cell and Coin Ball). Its PAYS line read ×85.25.
Multiplying the three value entries gives 16 × 12 × 3 = 576, and adding them gives 16 + 12 + 3 = 31. Neither matches ×85.25, so the game is not simply multiplying or adding the listed values for that ball. This comparison uses one reported screenshot; it shows that a shortcut fails, not what the real formula is.
The 1/N label on a ball's tooltip is a probability-style tag, not a payout (both wikis); W2 adds that it can read differently while an event is running.
How do you get more mutations?
Mutations come from splitting: each split has a chance to produce one (W1 and W2). Official and reported ways to raise that chance:
| Lever | What it does | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 2X Mutation Luck pass | "Mutations happen 2x as often." | Official pass listing |
| Mutation Upgrades in the skill tree | Added in Update 1; values not published | Official update event |
| Eclipse event | 1.5× mutations and 6× rare mutations while active | Per mitosis.wiki (23 Oct 2026); W1 also calls Eclipse a mutation event, without numbers |
| Lava Rain event | 1.75× mutations; most balls turn Molten | Multiplier per mitosis.wiki (23 Oct 2026); Molten link: both |
| Thunderstorm event | Favours Storm | Per mitosiswiki.wiki (23 Oct 2026) |
| Wheel spins | Can land rare mutation mixes | Per mitosis.wiki (23 Oct 2026) |
| Cards and other skill-tree nodes | Some change mutation or Rotten behaviour | Per mitosiswiki.wiki (23 Oct 2026) |
How 2X Mutation Luck combines with the skill-tree upgrades or event boosts is not stated anywhere. Gold Rush raises sale cash instead, so W2 suggests splitting in Eclipse or Lava Rain and selling during a Gold Rush. The how-to-play page covers the rest of the loop.
What should you do with a Rotten ball?
Both wikis say a Rotten ball pays nothing, and W1 adds that splitting it makes more Rotten balls. Before you split again:
- Hover over the ball and confirm the ROTTEN! label (W2).
- Click it before pressing SPLIT and look for CURED! (W2); W2 notes it can be too late once the ball has fully rotted.
- If you have White Cell, Vampire or the Antibody card, read its tooltip; W1 reports each one handles Rotten differently.
- If an unstable mix already pays well, selling it can be safer than another split (W1).
Which mutations are rarest?
No source checked publishes odds or a rarity order for the 28 mutations. The official description only says to "flex your rarest mutation" on the leaderboards. W2 notes that the ×16, ×12 and ×3 values from one ball describe that ball, not how hard each mutation is to find. Badge owner counts give a rough sense of progress instead: about 534,300 accounts held Mutant on 23 October 2026, against 12,439 for Mutation Dex and 407 for Omni-Tosis, but the conditions behind those badges are unpublished.
What could not be collected?
| Source | Result on 23 October 2026 |
|---|---|
| Fandom wikis for Mitosis | Blocked by a browser check (HTTP 403) |
| Reddit search | HTTP 403 to automated requests |
| YouTube | Search results and four Mitosis video descriptions read (two more watch pages were refused); none names a mutation, and no captions were offered |
| Fauna Studio group wall, Discord and X | Group wall endpoint returned 404; social links need a Roblox login |
If the developer publishes names, effects or odds, this page will switch those rows to the official wording. Free boosts from the official codes are listed separately.
