Animal Daycare Badges: All 5 and How Rare They Are
Scope: Badge names, requirements and award counts from the Roblox badges API on 2026-09-30; totals grow daily; percentages are our calculation
Key points
- There are five badges: four for surviving nights or shifts, one for exposing 25 imposters.
- First Day on the Job had been awarded about 3.5 million times; Daycare Legend, for 10 shifts, only 11,650 times.
- Badge totals fall after night two: Still Standing has 61 awards per 100 First Day badges, Night Shift Veteran fewer than 5 (totals, not a tracked group).
- All five badges were added on 16 September 2026, a month after the game opened.
Animal Daycare (Anomaly) has five badges. Four reward survival — the first night, two nights, five shifts and ten shifts — and one, Imposter Hunter, rewards exposing 25 imposters. Daycare Legend is the rarest: on 30 September 2026 it had been awarded 11,650 times, against about 3.5 million for surviving the first night.
Names and requirements below are copied exactly from the Roblox badges API, including the spelling "imposters" (the game description uses "impostors"). Award totals are a snapshot and rise every day.
What are all the badges and how do you get them?
| Badge | Official requirement | Times awarded | Per 100 First Day badges |
|---|---|---|---|
| First Day on the Job | Survive the first night. | 3,499,052 | 100 |
| Still Standing | Survive 2 nights. | 2,144,065 | 61.3 |
| Night Shift Veteran | Survive 5 shifts. | 168,300 | 4.8 |
| Imposter Hunter | Expose 25 imposters | 20,744 | 0.59 |
| Daycare Legend | Survive 10 shifts. | 11,650 | 0.33 |
The last column is our calculation: each badge's total divided by the First Day on the Job total. It compares badge holders, not a tracked group of the same players, but it is the clearest public picture of how far people get.
Where do the badge totals fall?
About 61 badges of Still Standing have been awarded for every 100 of First Day on the Job, so the second night looks survivable for most; these are badge totals, not a tracked group of players. The badge totals fall sharply between Still Standing and Night Shift Veteran: fewer than 5 per 100, and about 1 in 300 for Daycare Legend. The badges were only created on 16 September, so some players may not have had time to reach the later ones.
The daily figures tell the same story. In the day before we checked, the badges were awarded this many times:
| Badge | Awarded in the past day |
|---|---|
| First Day on the Job | 308,718 |
| Still Standing | 175,316 |
| Night Shift Veteran | 11,954 |
| Imposter Hunter | 1,731 |
| Daycare Legend | 881 |
We do not know from official data why the later badges are so much rarer. The how-to-play guide sets out what the developer does say about a shift.
Are nights and shifts the same thing?
The badges do not say. The first two requirements count nights ("Survive the first night", "Survive 2 nights"); the next two count shifts ("Survive 5 shifts", "Survive 10 shifts"). The game description asks "Can you complete your shift", but neither it nor the badges state that one shift equals one night. We keep the official wording rather than merge the two.
How rare is Imposter Hunter?
Rarer than it sounds. Exposing 25 imposters had been done 20,744 times, which makes Imposter Hunter rarer than Night Shift Veteran and less than twice as common as Daycare Legend. Nothing official says whether exposures carry over between shifts; the badge's wording suggests a running total, but we have not confirmed it.
Spotting impostors is the heart of the game — the description warns that "some visitors may not be real children" — yet the developer publishes no list of clues. Until we can confirm the tells shown in gameplay videos, the best official advice is the description's own: inspect every new arrival and use the cameras.
Why are the totals lower than the visit count?
Two reasons. First, the badges were only created on 16 September 2026, 33 days after the experience opened on 14 August. Anyone who played in those first weeks and never came back cannot have them. Second, the visit count (13.2 million on 30 September) counts visits, not people, so one player can add many visits.
Which badge should you aim for next?
If you have the first two, Night Shift Veteran is the realistic next step, and it already puts you among fewer than 5 in 100 first-night survivors. Our suggestion, not an official rule: play with friends if you can. The store sells Revive a Friend for 99 Robux, described as a way to "continue the game together"; solo players have Revive Yourself at the same price. Details on server size are on the game info page.
