To play Wash the Car, scrub each vehicle in your first bay by hand, collect the cash and tip, and spend it on equipment pads that automate the wash. Brushes, foam, jets, a conveyor and a dryer eventually clean cars with no input from you. Decorations raise the quality of arriving cars, and better cars pay more.

What do you do in the first minute?

According to AllThings. How's Wash the Car walkthrough (article updated 18 October 2026), every save starts with $0 and a handheld yellow sponge. A car pulls into Bay 1, a prompt says to hold the left mouse button, and a percentage climbs as you scrub. At 100% the car pays out cash plus a tip.

The developer's description backs the core of this: "Scrub dirty cars until they shine" and "Earn cash for every car you wash". It also says some cars leave a tip if you wash them fast, so speed matters before you automate. In the reported walkthrough, the first car paid just enough for the first upgrade.

Which Bay 1 upgrades come first, and what do they cost?

In Wash the Car, upgrades sit on round pads around the bay; you buy one by stepping on it. The order and prices below come from AllThings. How (article updated 18 October 2026), which credits its screenshots to CurryBlox's video. Prices are in-game cash, not Robux.

#PadCashWhat it does (as reported)
1Top Brush$5Cleans the roof
2Foam Sprayer$50Adds soap
3Tool Rack$100Decoration: richer cars
4Left Brush$180Cleans the left side
5Wooden Crates$300Decoration: richer cars
6Right Brush$360Cleans the right side
7Tire Stack$600Decoration: richer cars
8Front Jet$840Pressure rinse
9Pipes$1,100Decoration: richer cars
10Rear Jet$1,700Pressure rinse
11Ceiling Lights$2,100Decoration: richer cars
12Bay 1 Conveyor$3,800Moves cars through
13Dryer$11,000Dries automatically; tip boost
14Gold Conveyor$24,000Replaces the belt; 1.25x payout

Adding the fourteen reported prices gives $46,135 to finish Bay 1, assuming you buy every pad once. Once the conveyor and dryer are both in, cars roll through and leave dry without you touching them. The equipment list matches the description's "foam arches, brushes, water jets and dryers"; the exact prices come from one source and may change with updates.

What is the difference between equipment and decorations?

In Wash the Car, equipment takes over part of the wash: a brush handles one side, a jet rinses, the conveyor moves the car. Decorations such as the Tool Rack, Wooden Crates and Pipes carry the label "Attracts richer cars!" in the reported walkthrough and do no cleaning at all.

That makes decorations an investment in income per car rather than speed. With few pads bought, equipment gets cars out faster; decorations pay back through better arrivals. Either way, the prices are low enough that the whole of Bay 1 fills in quickly.

What are the vehicle rarities?

The Wash the Car description only says cars range "from rusty junkers to supercars". AllThings. How (18 October 2026) lists eight tiers, from lowest to highest:

OrderTier
1Common
2Uncommon
3Rare
4Epic
5Legendary
6Divine
7Celestial
8Secret

The same source says a higher tier pays more. The Secret tier also appears in the title of CurryBlox's video, "Starting Over with OP SECRET in Wash The Car!". No source publishes odds or a payout per tier, so none are given here.

What does the Player Upgrades stall do?

Besides the bay pads, Wash the Car has a Player Upgrades stall that sells levels in four stats, as listed by AllThings. How: Sponge Size, Walk Speed, More Income and Bigger Tips. The first two make manual washing faster. The last two raise every payout, so they keep their value after the bays are automated.

Where do you go after Bay 1?

Bay 2 follows the same pattern, and Bay 3 sits behind a reported $1,200,000 Unlock Bay button. After that the game moves to helicopters, boats and planes; costs, zone names and the hidden final target are on the zones page. If you want to speed things up with Robux, the shop page lists every product with its official price, and the FAQ covers codes and server size.
