How to Play Get Your Driver's License!: Line to Car
Scope: Features named in the official game description and details given in the game pass and developer product descriptions on 2026-10-10 (UTC); written test questions, the course layout, car names and the full ending list are not published and are not covered
Key points
- The official description lists its features in this order: line, written test, driving test, cars, endings. It is a feature list and does not spell out the sequence of a run.
- Store descriptions add detail: the line is counted in places, the waiting room wait is measured in minutes and seconds, and the wording of Retake Test suggests a failed driving test would otherwise mean the line again.
- Other players can affect your wait. Two product descriptions say people in the line go poof, without saying what that does, and one mentions being knocked out.
- The game is free to play. Skips cost 9 to 48 Robux and no description says a purchase is required.
On this page
The official description of Get Your Driver's License! lists what you do: take a number and wait your turn, pass the written test, and drive a test course with cows, ducks and ramps. It also lists winning 1 of 18 cars and unlocking endings. The game is free to play, and the store sells skips for 9 to 48 Robux.
That summary follows the developer's description on Roblox line by line. The description is a feature list, not a manual, so this guide also reads the store listings, which say more about how each stage works than the description does.
What does the developer say you do?
The description opens with "Wait in line and get your Driver's License!" and closes with "Can you get your license?" Six feature lines sit between them.
| Official line | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Take a number and wait your turn | There is a queue, and you take a number for it |
| Pass the written test | There is a written test, and passing it is the goal |
| Drive the test course: cows, ducks, ramps and more | The driving test is an obstacle course with animals and jumps |
| Win 1 of 18 cars, from rusty hatchbacks to secret supercars | There are 18 cars, and you can win one |
| Unlock every ending, from Honor Roll to Towed | There are several endings, and the wording invites you to unlock them all |
| Be the Examiner and judge other players' driving | Players can take the examiner's seat |
The right-hand column is our plain reading of each line. It adds no numbers, because the description gives only one: 18 cars. The description is a list of features. It does not state the order of a run or say that every run wins a car.
What do the store listings add?
Each of the 13 developer products has a one-line official description, and several of them give away how a stage works.
| Part of the game | Product description | What it suggests |
|---|---|---|
| The line | "Jump 5 places ahead in the line." | Your position is counted in places |
| The waiting room | "Skip 2:30 of the wait in the waiting room." | Part of the wait runs on a timer |
| Written test | "Pass the written test straight away." | The written test takes time or can go wrong |
| Driving test | "Go straight to your driving test." | The driving test is where this skip takes you |
| After a fail | "Failed your driving test? Take it again right away, no line." | The driving test can be failed, and the wording implies a fail normally sends you back to the line |
| Reward | "Ticket #001: your next car is Epic or better." | Cars come in tiers, and Epic is not the top one |
The third column is inference from the wording, not a published rule. The line guide has prices for every skip.
What should your first run look like?
Our suggestion is to play it straight once. The order below follows the description's feature list; read it as a plan, not a walkthrough.
- Take your number and stay in the line. You learn how long the wait is in your server only by sitting through it once.
- Sit the written test yourself. Skip Test costs 29 Robux and passes it for you, but you cannot judge the test before you have seen it.
- Drive the course slowly. The description names cows, ducks and ramps "and more". The description does not say where they are.
- Look at the car and the ending you get. Those are the two rewards the description names. Write both down if you plan to collect them all.
- Only then think about skips. If a second wait feels too long, the cheapest products are 9 Robux each.
What the test asks, and how the examiner scores a drive, are covered as far as official sources go in the driving test guide.
Can other players interfere with your run?
Several store listings are aimed at other players. Two mention the line: Kill ("The person ahead of you in line goes poof.") for 9 Robux and Kill All ("Everyone waiting in line goes poof.") for 160. Neither says what going poof does to a player. Scare All puts "A jumpscare on everyone's screen." for 24. A fourth product, Revenge ⚡, reads "Get back at whoever knocked you out." So players can be knocked out, though no listing says how.
Three of the five game pass descriptions also name other players: "Put someone in time out.", "Pick people up and throw them." and "Bonk people with the ban hammer." The other two are "A very loud airhorn." and an emoji pack. None of the five mentions the test. Prices are in the game pass list.
How long does a run take?
We found no official statement. Two hints exist. Skip Time [SALE] removes 2:30 from the waiting room, which suggests the timed part of the wait is at least that long. And Rolimon's, a third-party statistics site, showed an average playtime of 10.06 minutes when we looked on 9 October 2026 (not re-read on 10 October 2026). That is a tracker's estimate of a whole visit, not an official figure for one run.
Is Get Your Driver's License! free, and who can play?
It is free to play. Roblox's record for the game on 10 October 2026 shows the following.
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Price | Free |
| Players per server | 25 |
| Content maturity | Minimal ("Suitable for everyone") |
| Supported languages | 18, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and Korean |
| Genre | Simulation · Idle |
A server holds 25 players. The developer does not say how the line is filled, so we do not turn that number into a line length. Roblox's game record had createVipServersAllowed set to false when we read it on 10 October 2026. That field alone does not settle whether private servers are offered, so this is not confirmed. Which devices the game supports could not be read from public data.
What does this guide leave out?
Four things players ask about have no official source that we could read: the written test questions and answers, the layout of the course, the names of the 18 cars, and the endings between Honor Roll and Towed. We do not fill those gaps with guesses. The car guide and the driving test guide list exactly what is published and what is not.
